The M60E6, officially the United States Machine Gun, is an American general-purpose machine gun firing 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges.  The M60, initially introduced in 1957, has served with every branch of the U.S. military and still serves with other armed forces. It’s currently manufactured in Reno, NV and is also part of a weapon modernization, even though it has been replaced or supplemented in most roles by other designs, notably the M240 in U.S. service. It is the current medium machine for the Danish military while deployed in Afghanistan and other spots around the world.
